Simply: commissioning work is when a client asks us to do the work while underwriting is us seeking payment for work we’ve already created but have yet to publish on one of TechWhirl’s online properties. In addition, partners may choose to sponsor content as described in our TechWhirl Advertising Program information, but sponsorship is a direct promotional program separate from commissioned or underwritten content creation.
Commissioned work may or may not run on one of TechWhirl’s sites. The decision to publish commissioned content on TechWhirl.Com depends on the type of content, editorial scheduling and other factors, and the client’s needs. In contrast, all Underwritten content will run on TechWhirl at some point.
